Book 55
Suite Francais by Irene Nemirovsky falls into the category of being made into a movie this year. It was written during early WWII and is two parts of a planned 5 part novel. There are characters that return in part two from part one, although the two are completely different. I can't wait to see how they tie them together in the movie or if they even try. The other three parts were never written as the author was a French Jew who was arrested in Paris in 1942, sent to Auschwitz and died. I found the stories compelling and the characters intriguing. I wish she'd been able to finish the tale for us, but I really appreciate that no one else did try.
